About Mr. Schmidt
Hauke Schmidt studied till 2007 Mechanical Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University. After finishing his degree he started working as researcher at the Institute of Aeroelasticity at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Göttingen. Soon after that he joined the SLA team being responsible for the fluid-structure interaction of the VEGA payload fairing. The project includes the analysis of the dynamic response of the PLF by taking the transonic aerodynamic forces, structural vibrations and acoustic pressure fluctuations into account. Thanks to his education and career history he owns a profound knowledge on the fields of aeroelastic simulation, load analysis and design, Structural mechanic and the numerical computing environment MATLAB.
