As a DAAD scholarship holder, Mauricio Chaves‑Vargas studied Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Aeronautical Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University. Mr. Chaves‑Vargas gathered his first practical experience in the field of aeronautics as an intern at the Final Assembly Line of the Airbus A380 in Blagnac, Toulouse. Since 2012, Mr. Chaves‑Vargas works as a researcher at SLA. Here, he deals mainly with topics related to structural dynamics (modal analysis, damping, noise vibration harshness). In addition, he is presently responsible for the supervision of the course Mechanics III (dynamics for industrial engineers).
